What CentreKick is

CentreKick is a platform for grassroots football in the UK. We connect coaches, players, parents, scouts, clubs, referees, agents, and analysts so that talent can be developed and recognised fairly. CentreKick is operated by CentreKick Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [TODO: company number TBA], registered office [TODO: registered office TBA] — see the Privacy Policy for current details). When these terms refer to "we", "us", or "CentreKick", that's CentreKick Ltd.

Who can use CentreKick

  • You must be at least 16 years old to register your own account.
  • Players under 16 must have a parent or guardian register and link to the account. The parent or guardian is responsible for the account until the child turns 16.
  • Players under 13 may not have a public-facing profile. Their data is age-gated as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • CentreKick is currently designed for users in the United Kingdom. We may expand to other jurisdictions; until we do, we can't guarantee the platform works correctly outside the UK.
  • You agree to follow these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any role-specific rules below.

Your account

  • One account per person. No shared accounts.
  • The information on your account must be accurate and kept current.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password (or magic-link email access) secure. Tell us immediately if you think someone else is using your account.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm others on the platform. We try to give a warning first when it's safe to do so.
  • You can delete your account from Account Settings → Data & Privacy at any time.

Roles and what each role agrees to

Each role on CentreKick has its own rules. By choosing a role, you agree to the rules for that role.

Coaches

  • You confirm any FA coaching qualifications you list are real and current.
  • You will only assess players you actually coach (active coach-player link).
  • You will not use the platform to disparage children, parents, or other coaches.
  • You will not pay or accept payment in exchange for biased assessments.
  • Coach Pro is an optional paid subscription. It does not buy you ranking — sorting in directories is alphabetical only.
  • "Request this coach" CTA visibility on your public profile requires an active Coach Pro subscription.

Players (16+)

  • You will be honest about your age.
  • You will only upload clips of yourself or matches you played in, with appropriate consent.
  • Player Pro is optional. It unlocks personal features (clip uploads beyond the free cap, multi-season progression, agent visibility); it does not buy you visibility above other children.

Parents and guardians

  • You confirm you are the legal parent or guardian of any child you link to.
  • You'll exercise the child's data rights on their behalf until they turn 16, then transition control to them.
  • You will not register a child on a different account if their existing account is being managed by another guardian without resolving that first.

Scouts

  • You will use scout features only for genuine scouting (assessing players for potential trial or recruitment).
  • You will not contact players directly. Contact requests go through the platform.
  • You will not contact, profile, or attempt to identify under-13 players. Their profiles are not visible to you, and any attempt to circumvent that breaches these terms.
  • Scout subscription does not buy you the ability to rank players or pay for visibility.

Club staff

  • You confirm you are authorised to act on behalf of the club whose dashboard you manage.
  • You will not impersonate a club you don't represent.
  • You will keep team rosters accurate and remove players who are no longer at the club.

Referees

  • You confirm any FA referee qualifications you list are real.
  • You will only claim fixtures you actually officiated.
  • You will respond to referee match requests in good faith.

Agents

  • You confirm any FA / FIFA agent licence numbers you list are real and current.
  • You will only request representation of players whose parents have given verifiable consent.
  • You will not represent free-tier players publicly without their consent. Free-tier players appear anonymously to agents and are not contactable until they upgrade.
  • The default grassroots compensation share split is configurable per representation; both parties must agree before activation.

Analysts

  • You confirm any qualifications you list are real.
  • You will deliver analyses you've been booked for in line with the agreed scope and timeline.
  • You will not retain or redistribute footage shared with you for analysis beyond the scope of the booking.

What you can post

You can post:

  • Football clips of yourself or matches you participated in, with consent from anyone identifiable in the clip.
  • Honest match performance numbers.
  • Honest written assessments and personal notes.
  • Equipment listings on the marketplace.
  • Friendly fixture posts on the Friendly Finder.

We require:

  • Consent: anyone identifiable in a clip or photo must have consented (parent consent for under-16s).
  • Accuracy: don't invent stats, opponents, or competition results.
  • Safety: no content that exposes a child's home address, school, or contact details.

What you cannot do

You will not:

  • Use CentreKick to harass, intimidate, or bully anyone.
  • Post sexual, violent, or grossly offensive content.
  • Post content involving identifiable children without parental consent.
  • Use scraping, bots, or automation to harvest data from CentreKick.
  • Attempt to circumvent age gates, paywalls, or moderation.
  • Try to identify under-13 players from anonymised opposition signals.
  • Sell or transfer your account.
  • Pretend to be someone you're not.
  • Use CentreKick to advertise services unrelated to grassroots football.
  • Reverse-engineer the platform.
  • Submit spam, malicious code, or anything that disrupts the service for others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Repeated or serious violations result in permanent termination.

Payments and subscriptions

  • Subscription prices and one-off charges are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) at checkout, including VAT where applicable.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we say otherwise.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice (at least 30 days for existing subscribers). If you don't accept the new price, you can cancel.
  • Refunds are not automatic. We'll consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis if you contact us within 14 days of a charge.

Stripe payment flows

We use Stripe to process payments. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's terms. CentreKick never sees or stores your card details.

For coaches and analysts who receive payouts: payouts run through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe's onboarding (ID verification, bank account verification) before we can transfer money to you. Stripe holds the funds until you're verified.

The compensation pool

When a player from a CentreKick-tracked grassroots pathway is transferred for a fee at the top five tiers of English football (Premier League down to National League), CentreKick operates a compensation pool that distributes a share of the fee to the player's earlier coaches in proportion to their development contribution.

  • The pool is 1% of the transfer fee.
  • CentreKick takes a tiered platform commission (5–10%) from the pool. The hard cap on our commission is that we never take more than the smallest individual coach payout from any coach who has coached the player for two or more years.
  • Coach development tenure is measured by actual coaching span on CentreKick, capped at 10 years.
  • The exact split mechanism is in our public compensation methodology document — see [TODO: link to compensation methodology doc].
  • These are the contractual terms for any coach who logs sessions or matches under a player's profile. By coaching a player on CentreKick you agree to participate in this scheme.
  • Triggering events: only commercial transfers above the National League floor count. Amateur club moves, Sunday-league transfers, and transfers below that floor do not trigger compensation.

Marketplaces

CentreKick operates several marketplaces. In each:

  • Private coaching marketplace: coaches set their own session prices. CentreKick takes a flat £2/session commission (no percentage). Bookings, no-show penalties, and cancellation rules are surfaced at booking time.
  • Secondhand marketplace: peer-to-peer listings for football kit and equipment. We do not charge commission. We do not handle payments — buyers and sellers arrange that themselves. CentreKick is not party to the transaction.
  • Kit exchange: free donation of kit between users. CentreKick is not party to the donation. Both parties consent before contact details are shared. Clubs may gate handovers when an under-16 child is involved.
  • Analyst marketplace: analysts set their own per-deliverable prices. We process payment through Stripe Connect; CentreKick takes a platform fee declared at booking time.
  • Fixture marketplace: coaches post upcoming fixtures (e.g. tournament places). Discovery is free; arranging the fixture happens off-platform.

We are an intermediary, not a party to the underlying transaction (with the exception of subscriptions and analyst marketplace payments, where we process the money). We are not responsible for goods, services, or coaching delivered.

Sponsorship

Anyone with a CentreKick account can become a sponsor. Sponsorship runs through one of:

  • A direct allocation to a club or player.
  • A listing commitment where a club or player has posted a specific funding need.
  • A national pot contribution that we distribute according to published criteria.

Sponsorship contributions are processed via Stripe. They are not refundable once distributed to a recipient. By sponsoring, you confirm the funds are not from criminal proceeds and that you are entitled to make the contribution.

The "sponsor" is not a user role — it's an action any signed-in user can take. Becoming a sponsor doesn't change your existing role on the platform.

Intellectual property

  • CentreKick (the platform, code, branding, design) is owned by CentreKick Ltd.
  • The content you post (clips, assessments, written notes) belongs to you. By posting, you grant CentreKick a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of running the platform.
  • This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent necessary for legal record-keeping.
  • You will not use CentreKick's branding without our written permission.

Termination

We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. We can also remove specific content without terminating the account.

You can terminate your account any time. If you have an active paid subscription it will run to the end of the current billing period unless we say otherwise.

Some obligations survive termination: payment obligations, the compensation-pool participation, intellectual property licences for content you've already posted that's still in use (with right of removal), and these terms' liability and governing-law provisions.

Disclaimers and liability

CentreKick is provided "as is". We try hard to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that every assessment, talent flag, or matched fixture is correct.

Our liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the platform is limited to the greater of:

  • The total amount you've paid CentreKick in the twelve months before the claim, or
  • £100.

This cap doesn't apply to:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  • Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

You are responsible for your own conduct on the platform and for any consequences of that conduct. We are not your employer, manager, agent, or scout — we provide tools, not endorsements.

Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. If we change anything material we'll tell you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of CentreKick after that date means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking to us first goes to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer (not a business user) you may also have additional protections under your local consumer law that override this.
